Paper airplanes are not just childhood memories, but they also embody the rigorous STEM scientific principles and the dream of soaring in the sky! One North will be holding the 'Yi' Gao Fei - Academic Paper Airplane Flying Contest from August 22 to 23, bringing a festival of science (STEM), art, environmental protection, and team collaboration to adults and children across Hong Kong!

The competition is divided into the Parent-Child Group, Primary School Group, and Open Group, welcoming all 'hidden paper folding masters' to sign up and face off against Hong Kong's top players! In addition to the intense competition, there will also be multiple classic game booths, allowing adults and children to enjoy a carnival-like atmosphere together.

This paper airplane flying contest is a thrilling competition that tests flight principles and precise control, with the goal of achieving the 'most accurate landing.' Therefore, the folding technique, throwing angle, and force of the paper airplane will be key factors in determining the winner. For this reason, the competition has invited professional judges, including STEM education expert STEM Sir, the Hong Kong Academic Creative Paper Airplane Competition Committee, Red Bull Paper Wings World Paper Airplane Competition Hong Kong and Macau Champion and Global Champion Best Team members Yu Jianle and Ma Ying.

The competition is accepting free online registrations from now until August 12. Winners will have a chance to win up to HK$500 in electronic cash vouchers and fabulous prizes, and participants will also have the opportunity to challenge the world record for 'most people of different ages flying paper airplanes simultaneously.'
